Thank God for the write buffer option

Post by Swisher » Wed Jun 28, 2017 4:35 pm

:D I am so pleased with the write buffer option.
At 1st i had not checked this option which causes my mac to hang due to lack of memory, nothing helped and i was forced to restart my mac by holding the on/off switch.
Downloading at 56MBs is simply too fast for my NAS to which i download the files.
Enabling the write buffer worked and i can download again normal without my system hanging.
The downloads will stop at some moment to wait for the flush disk....

Again... usenetic... Very Goooooood.

If the data is coming in too fast then you can also throttle the bandwidth speed.

You can setup the bandwidth throttling using the icon on the right top:

Hey Support,

I was away for some time. We bought a new home so had very little time to get behind my mac :P
But here we are again and i am pleased to see that you managed to get the software up and running.

I will try the software in full soon... see what new came to the software :) :)

Regards,
Swisher

btw. Any tips on a good usenet server provider for download? I had usenet last year but maybe you got any tips.

Eweka (Netherlands) is great and has a huge retention.
Newsgroupsdirect (USA and EU) is also great with the same huge retention.

Thanks.

Thanks. Subscribed using EWEKA.

Just wondering. I use SONARR a lot.
Is there a way to use usenetic as a search indexer in sonarr.
It would be great since sonarr auto downloads everything i need.

Regards,.
Swisher.

Unfortunately that is not possible.
However, you can use the watchdog (auto download) feature inside Usenetic.
This feature search and auto download matches.

Thanks.

I ran usenetic for the first time since the great catalina mac update.

Unfortunately usenetic does not work anymore.

I can not change the switch to directory when download is finished.

The beachball is coming up and then nothing. after a few seconds usenetic is working normally.
But still can not change the download to... directory.

Any help is appreciated.
