Didn't work. And there is no error report. Usenetic just locks up and I have to quit the application. Two transparent windows do appear, one smaller than the other but there is no indication of what those windows are for and they can't be moved around.

Just tried to download list as well and after 5 min of spinning activity nothing was happening. Cancelled request and closed windows.

Possible cause can be linked to Newshosting having my posting status as "under review (not Active)"'. I have had this issue with Newshosting for two months now so perhaps this is preventing Usenetic from downloading complete list?

I can't verify it till Newshosting turns on my posting privilege and I retry downloading list.

Perhaps Phyber has similar situation?

Ok, but you are able to cancel the process. The other poster had issues that Usenetic hung after trying to download the newsgroups listing.
In your case your inactive account it is most likely the reason.

Update: while submitting previous post, my Mac alerted that system memory has been fully used and to shut down apps to free up allocations.
Usenet had frozen and was having spinning Beach Ball so I had to force quit.

Evidently the Posting list request does exhibit some problem with hanging Usenetic.

I'll review after Newshosting fixes my posting status.

So it seems that there is definitely something wrong with retrieving the newsgroups listing.
I'll mark this issue as high priority.

News hosting activated my Active Posting Satatus so I retried downloading Listing of groups from POST menu.

Still shows activity spinning activity but no results after 5 min.
So I cancel and Memory warning is displayed in QUE LISTING and Usenetic is not downloading so I quit app.
Restart to app to get QUE working again.

Definitely something wonky with ADD Group List command in POST windows.

Are you also using Sierra as OS or High Sierra?

Can you try the following:

In Usenetic, disconnect from all server ports by pressing the green icon at the right top:

When the green icon started flashing red, try to refresh the newsgroup listing again.
I think that will work.
