Update: while submitting previous post, my Mac alerted that system memory has been fully used and to shut down apps to free up allocations. Usenet had frozen and was having spinning Beach Ball so I had to force quit. Evidently the Posting list request does exhibit some problem with hanging Usenetic....

Just tried to download list as well and after 5 min of spinning activity nothing was happening. Cancelled request and closed windows. Just a heads up that the same problem seems to affect files which the first file is a .rar file then proceeds to be .r00, .r01, etc.

PS I would just put a note in the General instructions to NOT download single files larger than 90% of the Memory allocation in Usenetic preferences. I agree. Its the first time I have seen such a large single file. I would put it as something to look at after more important work is complete. Like you said its insane. Regarding a.b.misc group, I generally download from a.b.boneless or a.b.bloaf, not a.b.misc. directly. The program selects which group to use from the list of posted groups. Folder generation problem in group a.b.misc

Unique file folder does not create in "a.b.misc" folder in finder.
Download file just are saved as individual files and not grouped in folders as specified in preferences.
This is unique to this group only as all other groups behave as expected.
